A speed of 150 to 300 milliseconds keeps each keyword readable, which is what you want when the GIF stands alone as an asset. Below 150 it becomes a flicker sticker, and while that is a legitimate style, it stops communicating the keyword and starts communicating energy, so choose deliberately rather than by default.

Dim controls the shading depth baked into the frames, and it is baked, not layered, so decide before exporting. Around 70 to 90 for newspaper texture keeps the photographed desk feeling alive. Too low and the paper looks like a flat scan, too high and the vignette eats your keyword inside a dark room. Vibe changes ink colour, typography and post effects all at once, and because palettes are per frame derived from actual pixels, switching from Newspaper to Magazine changes both the look and the palette efficiency of the file.

File Size: What to Expect and How to Shape It

GIF is an old format and its weight is the price of universal compatibility. At 9:16 resolution with 30 frames and dense newspaper texture, expect files in the low tens of megabytes, larger for magazine gloss because smooth gradients compress worse than gritty grain. Three honest ways to reduce size without visibly hurting quality: shorten the speed so the same frame count covers fewer seconds of timeline use, trim the GIF in your editor immediately, and accept the palette the exporter chose rather than re-encoding through another tool, which is where most quality is usually lost.

The impact point matters more than the file cap. Platforms re-encode whatever you upload anyway, so the GIF that arrives in your editor is the master, not the artifact the audience sees. Prioritize a clean master at the right aspect ratio, and let the platform's encoder do its job. The one exception is embedding the GIF on a website, where you control delivery; there, trim to eight or ten frames and keep the loop tight.

Reels, Shorts and TikTok all accept a GIF imported into their native editors, but the smoother path is importing into CapCut or your main editor first, trimming to the snap, and exporting video. And when a project demands the absolute crispest frame for a thumbnail or a flash frame, screenshot or screen record the live preview instead, which bypasses the palette entirely at the cost of losing the built in loop.

The Sound File, and Why It Is a Separate Asset

GIF as a format carries no audio track, which is why the Studio exports sound separately as a WAV file. This is a feature rather than a limitation: the shutter or flash lives on its own audio track in your editor, so you can move it a few frames left to catch a beat, duplicate it for rhythm, or fade it under music without touching the picture. Render offline, save the wav, drop it on the timeline, and sync with your eyes closed, the waveform of a snap is an unmistakable spike.

If your final destination is X, where native GIF audio does exist through video wrapping, import both assets into an editor, marry them, and export video. Every other platform follows the same path, since editors such as CapCut and Premiere will happily sit a WAV under a GIF layer and make the marriage for you.
