Paper Effects is a creative animation tool. This page explains what the rendered output is, and what it is not, so that nobody mistakes generated paper graphics for real journalism or brand partnerships.
Every newspaper, magazine and book layout rendered by the tool is a procedurally generated piece of fiction. The paragraphs are assembled from a catalogue of invented, harmless filler sentences written specifically for this tool, and they carry no factual meaning. Nothing on the generated pages should be read as news, reporting, advice or a real quote, because none of it is real.
You can type any keyword, and many creators type brand names. If an export contains a company name, product, logo lookalike, celebrity name or any other trademark, that does not mean Paper Effects, or the rendered page, is affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by that brand, publication or person. All trademarks and publication names belong to their respective owners.
Because rendering happens on your device with your keywords, you are the publisher of whatever you export. Before you post an animation, make sure it does not misrepresent facts about real people or companies, does not imply a fake endorsement, and complies with the rules of the platform you publish on and the laws that apply to you. Commentary, parody and review contexts have their own rules, know yours.
